An Irish Icon Emerges From a 21 Month Slumber
Over the past 21 months, the iconic Irish hotel and resort, Adare Manor has undergone a complete renovation after being purchased by JP McManus and family in 2014 and opened its doors to the public very recently. Already a 5-star property, this complete transformation left no detail overlooked and has brought the resort to an unmatched level of luxury and service.
A new building was built and connect to the original manor house and has brought the number of rooms available at the property to over 100. Although the building is brand new the design team did an incredible job utilizing grey limestone to mirror the original buildings making them look one in the same.
The resort is now home to a brand new Le Mer Spa, pool and relaxation area, making it only one of eleven in the world providing guests with luxury personified. Guests dining on the property will be looked after by more than 60 chefs throughout the resort providing a varied and scrumptious food and beverage experience at the resort.
All rooms have been redone to an incredible standard providing massive beds, sitting areas for relaxation, and huge TV’s with all channels. Guests can partake in afternoon tea in the Gallery Room which is the second longest in all of Ireland surrounded double height windows complimented by stained glass around the room.
The golf course at Adare has undergone a complete transformation as well and is now poised to secure and host the 2026 Ryder Cup. Tom Fazio’s team led the redesign of the course where every bunker and green was redone and a Subair technology was installed beneath every putting surface making it one of only a few in the world to have this system, including Augusta National. The course is due to open to guests in the spring of 2018.
These are just a few of the incredible things that have been undertaken at Adare Manor but a visit to the resort is truly the only way to see all of the incredible changes that have happened to one of Ireland’s true treasures.
